Chess Master Class - Beginner
In this class, we will learn how to read and speak the language of chess, known as algebraic notation. Kids will learn the rules of chess, piece movement and their values. Students will learn about check, the ways to escape a check, and how to win a game of chess by checkmate. Depending on how fast the kids learn, we will learn additional checkmate patterns. Also, kids will play full games of chess once showing understanding of the rules, piece movements, and checkmate.

Chess Master Class - Advanced
Advanced Class will cover an array of opening traps and common mistakes by chess players in the books Opening Traps and Zaps 1 + 2. Students will also learn the old games of Greco, Morphy, and the earliest World Champions. This class will emphasize positional maneuvering and planning through World Champion’s games. Students will also learn various concepts such as pawn play and strategy, advanced tactical ideas, and how to execute in the endgame.

Chess Master Class - Intermediate
This class is taught by US Masters and Expert Players with 2200+ ratings, and 5+ years of teaching experience. Intermediate students should already be familiar with basic rules of chess, such as the types of pieces and what a checkmate is. They will learn how to take notation, which is the language of reading and writing chess. The teacher will cover classic and famous chess games that reinforce fundamentals and demonstrate typical attacking patterns. Students will be given several tactical puzzles to show their understanding. Students will learn basic and essential endgame techniques.
